My goal is to help women in mid-life, with all of its challenges and blessings, to become and remain the healthiest and most vibrant versions of themselves in everyday life. Every woman deserves the very best of health and wellness. "I'VE GOT YOU! & TOGETHER, WE'VE GOT THIS!"
In today's world, there are many different types of eating - from vegan to carnivorous, and everything in between. Regardless of your eating style, whole food nutrition is and will always be key to becoming the healthiest version of yourself.
Food is meant to fuel your body. If you put a low grade fuel in your car, it is not going to run well, and eventually it will quit on you. It is no different with food and your body. By simply making higher quality food choices day to day, you will form unconcious habits of eating well and becoming healthier with a well fueled and functioning body.
The key is to balance your protein, healthy carbs, healthy fats, fiber, and drink plenty of water.
Movement combined with whole food nutrition will create more eneryg, lean muscle, fat loss, motivation, and mental well-being.
Movement keeps our bodies from becoming stiff and complacent. Simply put, when you move your body you feel better.
Movement comes in many forms. Walking, running, aerobics, dancing, swimming, sports, weight lifting, and so much more. It does not have to be hard. It can actually be something you choose that you enjoy and accommodates your life and who you are. By trying a variety of activities, you learn what you like and what benefits you the most.
Just 20-30 minutes of movement each day can add years to your life, and add life to your years.
Mindset and self-care are important pieces to your health and wellness road map. Without taking care of your whole self, you are more likely to give up on your goals at the risk of mental and physical burnout that can come from the stress of everyday life.
Work, family, children, grandchildren, school, pets, volunteering, sickness, loss, taking care of parents in their golden years, menopause, and personal goals...Life is consistent with its ebbs and flows; so it is equally important that we are consistent with our mindset and self-care maintenance most days, if not every day.
Journaling, meditation, and sleep are ways to take care of yourself, and there are many more ways.
Stay up to date monthly with all things nutrition, movement, mindset & self-care!
